Middle Eastern Dance Club To Hold Workshop
Dance Club to Raise Money for Education and Expansion
The Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Middle Eastern Dance Club
will host a workshop in “The Art of Belly Dance” on Friday,
April 23 in the Glasscock Fitness and Wellness Center, aerobics room
A, from 3 - 5 p.m. The workshop will be led by the Middle Eastern
Dance Club “Cleopatra’s Daughters” and will include
instruction on basic moves and dance routines.
Proceeds from the workshop will be used to attend clinics where dance
club members can learn advanced techniques, the use of props and Indian
and Hula style dancing. In the past the club has performed at the
Asian Cultures Museum, the Corpus Christi Science and History Museum,
Texas A&M University-Pan American Heritage Festival and the A&M-Corpus
Christi President’s Picnic.
Early registration is $20 or $30 for two participants and ends on Friday,
April 16. Cost at the door is $25. Door prizes and snacks
