Submit an announcement


Campus Announcements is a digest of University events distributed twice a week each Monday and Thursday during the fall and spring semesters. The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays. The Office of Marketing & Communications gathers and distributes campus announcements.


To get an event posted on Campus Announcements:

Please forward announcement requests via email to: Campus Announcements. Please limit submissions to a maximum of 200 words. Include event name, date, place, time and contact person with phone number. The Office of Marketing & Communications reserves the right to edit all announcements and to determine the timing and placement of all announcements.

Examples of writing style:

College of Education Master’s Program Reception: The College of Education will hold a reception to explain its programs for teachers, undergraduates and graduates who are interested in a master’s in education on Wednesday, April 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the University Center, Lone Star Ballroom. For more information, call ext. xxxx or e-mail xxxx.
 
Inherit the Wind: The Department of Communication and Theatre will present “Inherit the Wind” from Thursday, April 20 through Sunday, April 30 in the Wilson Theatre located in the Center for the Arts. “Inherit the Wind,” written by Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, is based on the 1925 Scopes Monkey Trial in Dayton, Tenn. that sparked a heated debate on the issues of creation theory and censorship. Advance tickets are on sale at the University Theatre Box Office in the Center for the Arts. General admission is $8.
