Islander Moms

We are excited to announce a newly founded organization here at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi!  Islander Moms is a unique organization who holds a mission of “Bringing a touch of home to the Island University” dearly. We are an organization that is not exclusively for moms, and is separate from the Parents’ Council. We have 'fashioned' ourselves after another great organization: the Aggie Moms of Texas A&M University in College Station and we have their blessing to build and nurture this parent organization into one similar to theirs. We intend to enhance the Parents’ Council, not pull from it.

Our bylaws state the objective of this club shall be to promote the welfare and happiness of the students attending Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and to cooperate with the faculty of the University in maintaining high standards of moral conduct and intellectual attainment.

Each semester Islander Moms organize a very special activity called Student Survival Bags in which students receive a survival kit before the week of finals. Historically, this has been a very successful event for the Islanders Moms and is always exciting to organize. We strongly encourage new applicants as we embark on a journey of growth and recognition state wide.  If you would like to continue to receive news from the Islander Moms—come and join us now! You can help us make our students feel that there is always a “touch of home” a phone call away.
