Ruth A. Campbell Professor of Coastal and Marine Sciences

The Ruth A. Campbell Professor of Coastal and Marine Sciences is a four-year endowed professorship awarded by the College of Science and Engineering to support the development of the College and its Ph.D. program in Coastal and Marine Science.

Dr. Pollack’s research focuses on coastal conservation and restoration ecology.  She is particularly interested in understanding how natural and anthropogenic changes in environmental conditions affect benthic organisms, and how restoration can play a role in recovering ecosystem functions lost due to habitat degradation.
