As the Development Officer for the Art Museum of South Texas, I am responsible for coordinating and facilitating Museum fundraising through private and government foundations, corporations and individual donors. I research and write grant requests to foundations for Museum exhibitions, education programs and operations. In addition, I work with trust officers and estate planning professionals on individual bequests and planned giving. I also assist with special event fundraisers, public outreach through speaking engagements, tours, and general Museum advocacy and stewardship.

I am a 1988 graduate of Corpus Christi State University with a Bachelor of Science in History. After taking a 10-year leave of absence to raise our daughter, I returned to the workforce as Development Officer for the Art Museum of South Texas. I've held this position for just over 3 years. I have worked in the non-profit world both professionally, and as a volunteer, including Community Outreach Coordinator for the March of Dimes, Board Chair for CASA and the YWCA.

When not working at the Art Museum, I enjoy the arts, photography, and visiting (of course) museums! I also enjoy traveling with my husband Kurt, and spending time with our daughter, Hayley. I am a member of Executive Women International where I'm the Scholarship Chair, American Association of University Women and the Islander Alumni Association.
