I am responsible for reaching out to the community in order to engage the public and gain involvement and interest in Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. As a proud alumni, I work with individuals, business prospects, and donors to align both University and community goals in a common direction. Through face-to-face visits, phone calls, and email, I identify and cultivate relationships with University alumni, friends, businesses and professionals. I also provide stewardship and recognition efforts and activities to ensure the support of both internal and external partners.

I received my Bachelor's in Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Business Management from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2007. As a student, I worked for the Island University in the University Center as a Senior Building Manager, overseeing a student staff of 20 in both event scheduling and event set-up. Prior to my full-time employment at the University, I spent four years working at Frito-Lay, Inc. as a district manager working within the Rio Grande Zone. I assumed my position as an Engagement Officer for the Office of Development in July 2011.

I am married to Gerald Garza, Jr. and we just welcomed our first child, Arissa, this October. I'm originally from Odessa, Texas, but consider Corpus Christi my true hometown. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to live music, watching movies, and any outdoor activities. I'm very lucky to have a large family and a great group of friends for support.
