Parents' Council

Mission Statement

The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Parents' Council is a group of over 700 Islander parents who maintain their membership through annual gifts during New Student Orientation. These funds provide opportunities for our students and strives to...
  • Serve as an avenue of communication and information for parents of students and prospective students;
  • Participate in programs that foster parental involvement, most notably Parents’ Weekend and Homecoming;
  • Increase the value of your student's degree by enhancing academic achievement through the support of campus programs;
  • Function as a communicator between the University, administration and parents for promoting updates on new programs or proposed new ventures; and
  • Initiate new programs for the benefit of parents, students and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

The mission of the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Parents’ Council is to involve Islander families in campus activities which promote the University, enrich the college experience for both students and parents, enhance the communication between families and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi while supporting the financial needs of the University. The Parents’ Council is leading the way for a bright future at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and we hope you will become a part of our tradition of excellence.
