The Parents' Council is a group of Islander parents who maintain their membership through annual gifts.

Parents' Council

The importance of parental involvement

In addition to funding programs that reinforce the quality of your student's education, as a parent you may also choose to support the Parents' Council in other important areas, such as volunteering at New Student Orientation, serving as a committee member for Parents' Weekend, or assisting with other special events.

These activities provide parents opportunities to:

  • Make important decisions about Parents' Council activities
  • Share ideas and concerns of sending a child away to college
  • Spend time with their sons and daughters in a collegiate setting
  • Network with other Texas A&M-Corpus Christi parents and students
