MA-IS Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must comply with university procedures for regular degree-seeking student classification and meet university standards for admission to graduate degree study. See the University Catalog - Graduate Admissions Section.
  • Students unable to meet the university 16 point requirement may apply for alternate admission.
  • Each student is required to submit an application for admission to the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Study program and to provide a statement of approximately three hundred words which states the goals or objectives the student wishes to reach through the degree program. This proposal identifies the fields to be included and explains how the selected fields of study will provide an integrated program consistent with these goals and objectives. The proposal must be approved by the Dean of the college before the MAIS Advisory Committee will be appointed and admission to degree candidacy can be granted.
