The National Spill Control School conducted a boom deployment demo in the Corpus Christi Marina recently.

Islander Baseball: The Islander baseball team will host Central Arkansas Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. and Sunday, May 11, at noon at Chapman Field. Seniors will be honored at 11:30 a.m. Sunday before the game starts. Students get in free with a valid SandDollars ID. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children and seniors. Spring Commencement: The University will hold its Spring 2008 Commencement Saturday, May 17, at 10:30 a.m. at the American Bank Center Arena. Commencement speakers will be The Texas A&M University System Chancellor Michael D. McKinney and Elizabeth Benson-Landau, who is graduating with a bachelor of arts in sociology.
